comment Mitigating vignetting in a microscope image
@junkyardsparkle I placed a white piece of paper on the stage, and there is radial distortion in the projected light pattern. I wasn't able to eliminate it by adjusting the light pipe fittings, but I could change it. Hugin did provide a better color blend than my manual efforts, but there are still visible artifacts in the stitched image.

@junkyardsparkle I haven't specifically tried hugin yet, I've been using using GIMP to align the images. One issue with some stitching software I've found is that they assume a spherical or cylindrical mapping topology, while my topology is almost perfectly flat.

So does this lack of coating to prevent sensor flares a "deal-breaker" on older lenses, or is it something I'll only notice under unusual circumstances?
