93.3333 degrees that's why they call me Mr. Celsius

Just like "I was just following orders" was not an excuse, "My religion claims I had to do it" is neither. If you behave as an offensive bigot, you are an offensive bigot. Petty excuses will not be tolerated. Ramen.

comment How do I handle international copyright violations?
Once the image gets altered, any kind of meta-data is very likely lost.

revised Why use JPEG instead of RAW?
I feel it's important to differentiate between the two (I'd just remove the last points, IMHO).

Many of these points are solved by keeping RAW+JPEG. Others are not, and I think only these are relevant.

I'm puzzled on how you got the idea that Europe is less safe than the US...

comment What are the risks of using Magic Lantern?
Great answer, but it would be better if you explained what causes the chance of briking the camera to be non-zero.

comment How do I make sure my RAW files are readable in the future?
@lindes: in that apocalyptic scenario, I bet your concern would be surviving the hordes of squatters, mutants and zombies; whether you are still able to access your old photos or not would be kind of a minor issue, I believe. You'd be happier if you can, sure, but that's beside the point.

It's much more likely you will be able to somehow read RAW format, rather than be able to run an old VM.
