comment How to clean spit off my camera sensor?
I guess it's not much of a special case, but I asked because I tried the methods described in the other answer (using moistened sensor swabs) and it did not remove the marks.

comment How To Fix Badly Functioning Shutter Release-Button?
I've been electrocuted once or twice while taking apart cameras and it hurts - this is valuable advice!

comment Will a dSLR and compact camera produce the same bokeh output at f/2.0?
I have an LX5 and, in my experience at least, the only time you ever get a nicely blurred background is when shooting something really close in macro mode, so if you want a camera which produces nice background blur, you'll probably have to look elsewhere :-(

comment Does image quality on compact cameras degrade when zooming in?
Thanks for the comprehensive answer - this makes sense as the close up of the foreground looks much sharper.

comment Does image quality on compact cameras degrade when zooming in?
Ok fair point. The main thing I was puzzled by was the seemingly worse detail in the distance e.g. on the tower, but I guess this is just natural and not necessarily down to the lens itself.

comment Does image quality on compact cameras degrade when zooming in?
Ah fair point, this question is pretty much the same as the previous ones.

comment Are Konica and Minolta lenses interchangeable?
Aww that's a shame - I'll have to keep looking then. Thanks for the interesting background info too!

comment How do I control the camera in Kite Photography?
I'd actually say that, for the case of a single line kite at least, there'd be much less likelihood of loosing control of it than there would of loosing control of an RC plane or helicopter.

comment Why do compact digital cameras not have the aperture range of DSLRs?
Thanks for your very comprehensive answer - I never actually knew about the depth of field effect (or lack of effect above a certain distance) on these cameras. I have often wondered why I didn't seem to get the expected shallow depth of field with my LX5 despite often shooting with the aperture wide-open at F2.
