comment Where can I find reviews of and tools for comparing cameras?
Hehe, yeah. According to snapsort the Leica M9 has a "inferior sensor". But it is a fast way to see the data and compare for yourself.

Wow! I'd love to see one of those for in-lens-IS, which is said to be quite different from in-body-IS.

comment Are there practical differences between Canon's IS and Nikon's VR?
I'm trying to avoid VR lenses (I did even before I ran into problems on high shutter speeds): they are bigger, heavier, suck more power from your batterie and are more expensive, and all this for some benefit which usually only applies if you take pictures of not-moving-targets where you'd be better off using a tripod anyways. The only case where I find VR useful is lenses with 200mm and above, where the shutter speed is fast enough to freeze action even when it can't be hand-hold anymore.

comment Why is image stabilisation making images unsharp?
The pictures I have woes with have been composed very slowly, taking care of focus and light using half-shutter-press since I don't use the D90 for daily shooting I've been extra careful this time.

comment How can I ensure proper color rendition with browsers on wide gamut displays?
Actually I found my display (Eizo CG303w) offers a mode switch which can be used to switch between AdobeRGB and sRGB which is very handy for browsing.

As I wrote above, my FireFox does support color profiles, but the problem still persists with pictures without color profiles (which is about 99% of the internet).

As I wrote above, even in FireFox which supports color profiles (yes, I tested it), the problem persists with pictures which do not contain color profiles (which is about 99% of the web).
