What are the important criteria in selecting a DSLR camera for conference photography? I don't think I will have ability to setup the offside flashes (especially if there are many rooms), but the microphone hint is very appreciated. |

How can I backup my RAW photos while travelling without Internet access? @SteveRoss Aren't you out by a 0? I am getting 10000 (Mb) / 3600 (images) = 2.7 (Mb) by image. I think the real math is more like ~300 RAW images into one iPad. And I can fill 16Gb memory card on my T3i in a couple of good days. |

What are the important criteria in selecting a DSLR camera for conference photography? All the Nikon references are probably because I mentioned having one currently (and therefore keeping the lens). But it is a good reminder in general. Thanks. |

What are the important criteria in selecting a DSLR camera for conference photography? If I use RAW format, does that help with light? My understanding is that RAW captures more light then makes it into JPEG. E.g. Could I underexpose the shot and then add exposure in Lightroom to compensate for slower lens? I would love to get away with single zoom lens and not have to switch. |

Help motivate me to use my SLR's manual mode I believe that will then do auto-exposure compensation every time, so the pictures will not be fully 'compatible'. And you may get slightly different focus points with autofocus. |
