comment Why don't cameras support journaled filesystems?
@strugee - I didn't say OS X doesn't have a journaling file system - I said there is no single system that both OS X and Windows can use out of the box (Windows doesn't understand HFS+ at all and Macs (by default) can't write NTFS)

comment How to price my photos to be used on someone else's website?
@Rmano - if you have no intention of going pro and this is a one time deal you can sell the images at any price, there are free on-line calculators that can give you a starting point for negotiation (and you'll probably going to negotiate down from that price). I don't like the "cut of article sold" model, as a business owner I would never give a cut of the profit in exchange for a photo (unless it's a dead product and I have nothing to lose) and I wouldn't give my products in exchange for a cut (unless it's a sure thing) giving/getting a cut isn't a fair deal unless you go in as a partner

comment Can I use ProPhoto in 14 bits?
@FriendofKim - what I'm saying is that there are two completely separate bit depths - the bit depth that should be 16bit is the one you choose in the export dialog (when you export in ProPhot/AdobeRGB) not the bit depth of the sensor - but usually you export to SRGB JPEG file anyway so it doesn't matter
