Is there a personal photo sharing site that does not use user content for commercial purposes? Agreed. Using Wordpress and a few helpful but optional plug-ins works quite well. My own site unfamiliarlight.com is done that way. You should only be able the public pictures there are several private galleries that you will not see. |

How can I downsample high-resolution shots with Lightroom? I also just noticed this question / answer: photo.stackexchange.com/questions/22419/…. It seems that you can even use a reduced image DNG on export which might be better than .jpg. |

How do I properly determine which camera is better in low light? @AkramMellice down-sampling is a fancy way of saying resizing smaller. |

Should I sign, watermark or otherwise label a framed print? And if so how? The linked to article is talking about water making for the web. He is asking for how to display framed prints in real life. |

Which compact camera should I choose for better low light capability Agreed that is worth considering. I just think the Nikon 1 sensor with its built in AF sensor points (on the image sensor) does a great job of handling the AF issues and Shutter lag found in compacts and yes even some of the Micro 4/3s cameras. For the pros and cons of various sensor sizes I recommend reading this: sansmirror.com/articles/pick-a-size.html |

Can a tripod head be left always on, or should it be taken off when not in use? What Mark J P said. I leave mine together unless there is a reason to take it off (such as packing for a trip and it will only fit without the head on). I see no reason to take it off just for the sake of taking it off. |
