What is the best way to micro-adjust a lens? Priedhorsky: Your suggestion looks very good as well. I think they are both technically sound, it's just a matter of taste. I personally don't like scissors ;). |

What should one consider when choosing a style of tripod head? Good point about the tension! I had a few occasions my camera tumbled over. I believe the Manfrotto hydrosatic ball heads don't have this issue since they use a different mechanism. |

What should one consider when choosing a style of tripod head? +1: very complete answer. The choice depends on what you want to photograph and how important the framing is. A ball head is quick and easy to use but lacks control if you want to fine-tune the framing. In the situations you need full control over framing use a 3 way head or geared head. |

How can timelapse sequences be shot without in-camera support? +1: If you're using a Canon the TC80N3 is a great tool. I used it extensively for multiple timed exposures for astrophotography. |
