I'm a rank amateur hobbyist when it comes to photography.
I'm a Software Engineer by trade, so I naturally tend to get all the technical stuff pretty well, but the arty-composition side of my brain is pathetically squishy and malnourished. I took up photography because I wanted to exercise some of those neurons before they die away completely.
