comment How do I start with in-camera JPEG settings in Lightroom?
What version of Lightroom are you using and what camera do you have? They've released a few different versions of the profiles, but LR3 should have the latest.

comment What on-camera geotagger do you recommend for a Nikon DSLR?
The MetaGPS looks a lot like one I use for Civil Air Patrol photos - as long as it gets a fix before a flight, it maintains tracking through our entire flight. The trick with Nikon cameras seems to be to turn off the "sleep" on the metering system so that it doesn't have to redo the GPS lock. YMMV and all that, but that's what works for us.

That should apply those parts, too. Set your camera to shoot RAW + JPEG and apply the same preset to the RAW photo as your camera did for the JPEG (like D says!). That way you can tell if they're any different. This video should help, too.

comment How can I make my new DSLR more portable and convenient?
I don't know if that counts as backing up a claim. :-) Other than that oddity, this is good advice.

comment How does a circular lens produce rectangular shots?
Cropped image should be labeled "camera sensor" or "film" and you'd be dead on.

comment How can I reverse-mount a Canon F/1.4 50 mm for macro photography?
That's actually a cool shot - good job! A coupling ring is definitely the way to go if you want to do this.

comment What are the first few photography books someone should read?
Changed the tags. Not really a question about 'Canon'. :-)

comment Should I shoot momma possum and her babies?
I can see the next post on medical.stackexchange.com: "I got mauled by a protective mother opossum - where's the best place for rabies shots and stitches?"

comment Will I see a difference in my photos if I aim my flash to the umbrella axis?
Basically, it'd be best to just try it and see what happens. :-)

comment How and why do you use an image histogram?
I'd add "shoot to the right", but that's probably closer to a religious debate than factual answer.

Seriously, this. I'd actually try to encourage them to move out from anywhere near where you are. And honestly, that's what my first instinct was when I saw the thread title.
