Xenon flash with rolling shutter specialty of the sensor is that i have them on hand and they are small in size. The module is only 1cm x 1cm in size. This is for work. What kind of continuous light source would you suggest. I would still prefer some kind of strobe, if possible I would like to avoid a off the shelf camera. |

Xenon flash with rolling shutter @Matt Grum: The internals may not be relevant to this question but I just wanted to understand how a cmos image sensor works. |

Xenon flash with rolling shutter @Matt Grum: ovt.com/products/sensor.php?id=65 this is the image sensor. I'm using a camera module with this sensor. There's no specific item that I'm taking photos of. I wasn't aware of the rolling or global shutter until the camera's arrived. I'm taking stills but I want to do it in burst mode so maybe its as good as video possibly. |

Xenon flash with rolling shutter Sorry, I'm a noob in photography, what is sync speed? Is it something related to the flash. |

Xenon flash with rolling shutter If I do use high speed sync flash, where do I fire. I mean at what position in the image sensor exposure should I trigger the flash and generally what would be the time period of the flash. |

What is a “4P” Lens? I'm a bit confused now after reading this, whuber mentions that 4P means a 4 element plastic lens. The datasheet of this particular camera states that it is fixed focus, I don't know about manual focus adjustment and the electronic contacts of AF as said in your answer. What conclusions should I come to? |
