Where is Canon 1100D autofocussing in low light low contrast conditions? What autofocus mode were you using? What focus points were enabled? Also, there is no way whatsoever to give any sort of opinion without seeing the photos. Maybe the camera focused on the man in the boat, or the zebra swimming on the foreground. :) |

Which is more efficient when shooting weddings: interpolating sRAW or shooting in jpeg? @Rish, what do you mean that the factor is time? If you're culling appropriately, any moderately capable modern computer should be adequate for the RAW processing itself. If you're doing intensive processing, make sure you know your software, that you have adequately large and fast disks, etc. I'm not seeing a time problem. As for storage, it gets cheaper all the time. Put together an archival strategy, use adequate hardware, charge enough for your weddings, and you should be fine. People pay for professionals partly for the eye, and partly for the results, which depend on gear. |

What's better image quality; full frame with Canon 400mm 5.6L plus 1.4 extender, OR, cropped frame with same lens? ... plus the 7D offers more reach. Agreed, though, for the times that the full frame combo could fill the frame without a TC, image quality would be pretty similar in good light, perhaps slightly in favor of the 5D in lower light. With the TC on the 5D Mark II, it would tend to go in favor of the 7D. |

What would be a good upgrade from my Canon kit lens for portrait photography? Hi, gsharp. I excluded lenses over $1,000. I guess these could be added to the list: 35L, 50L, 85L, 135L. I just don't think the OP is likely to be looking at lenses in that range. |
