I currently develop Drupal for MTV. I previously worked for design research studio Stromatolite. I studied MA Design Critical Practice at Goldsmiths University in London. I cycled from England to India, and across Mongolia. I wrote a book about a life-changing bike ride (google 'Weave of the Ride'). In the future I am going to make stuff, release more books, improve my photography, and teach as well as make.

Camera and lens to take travelling by bicycle that will produce pro-quality images? @jwenting real life experiences are always more enlightening than generalisations :) |

Camera and lens to take travelling by bicycle that will produce pro-quality images? @jwenting fair point. This is kind of a profound question of aesthetic qualities of an image separate from its value as a capitalist product and whether these days anyone can tell any difference anyway. |

Camera and lens to take travelling by bicycle that will produce pro-quality images? Very nice answer @mattdm . I remember somewhere along the line someone saying that Cartier Bresson probably would have used the D40x with a prime lens :) which is why I then bought exactly 50mm f/1.8. Maybe sticking with the N40x is fine. What about NEX 7 (although the video overheats in warm temperatures) or what would be a more 'pro' camera that isn't heavy up from the D40x? |

How do I plan a successful set of travel photographs? @RussellMcMahon This was an open question really. I really like your last comments. I spent 2 years wandering by bike taking photos, and I walk often in London taking photos. Do you have a site I can take a look at? |

How do I plan a successful set of travel photographs? Sounds ok, but maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree here. I thought that some serious travel photographer might have some kind of workflow or strategy to share... |

How should I categorise my photos in Lightroom? I guess a lot of the answer to my question is how I will present my photos. E.g. are these photos for an exhibition or a book? And interesting point about the DB schema and in general how workflow evolves, and yet sometimes you get stuck in a way of doing things... |
