I came out of Estate Agency after alomost 35 years when my company closed down our Scottish branch in Edinburgh during 2008, the most difficult time I can remember in property.
Having taken photographs for all these years it made sense to continue along that route as to re-invent myself at 55 could have been pretty difficult. Used a digital bridge camera for just over a year at which time I realised I would have to move my game up to full DSLR with assosiated hand held flash, tripod, photoshop etc. to offer a better service to clients and compete with larger companies already well versed in the better technology.
Basically self taught, though with a bit of help from a good friend who is a full time qualified photographer, I provide photos, floor plans and text to selling agents for their brochures, many of which I design for certain clients.
I love all aspects of photography though realise I still have a lot to learn. Also tried a bit of portrait work, landscape, macro etc. and always looking for a new angle.
