The restriction on logos in stock photos is probably more related to advertising policies than copyright.

comment When were white seamless backgrounds and platforms first used in studio lighting?
I can't say when it was first used, but I do have a book here from 1985 that describes how to get a completely white background (give it 2 stops more light than the subject).

comment What filter should I buy if I wanted to do 5 min shutter speed in daylight?
@MarkWhitaker: I wouldn't expect motion-blur on the dock, but the lines just look too perfect to be real. I get the impression that the water has been smoothed out in photoshop and that the edges of the dock were straightened out in the process.

comment Can a DSLR function in an environment with high g-forces?
0g should not be a hindrance for the operation of a DSLR, as it also has to work on earth when tilted to crazy angles. My biggest doubt is whether a consumer level DSLR can mechanically withstand the higher G forces.
