I have loved photography since childhood and enjoy it currently as a hobby. I literally dream about traveling abroad with friends, family, or alone, taking many pictures. I even chimp after taking shots!
I just hope it won't derail me from other responsibilities in my life. :P

Why would someone want a 58mm-58mm filter ring? There is no glass, and the threads go the same direction. |

Is there a web application that can notify you ahead of time if a certain weather forecast is predicted for a certain location? Thanks for the link. This site is very cool, and provides if [this] then [that] "recipes", across MANY services (craigslist, delicious, etc). See ifttt.com/wtf. The weather trigger has sunrise/sunset, tomorrow's forecast, humidity, UV, wind speed. It does not, however, allow for multiple triggers (sunrise PLUS partly cloudy), but the value is there. Besides, multiple-trigger functionality could be implemented in the future, since it's in Beta still. It's close enough for me to consider it an answer, but if anyone else knows of a better alternative, I would be glad to hear of it. |

What software raw converter can convert from .raf to .jpg, replicating the Fujifilm in-camera raw conversion algorithm? Thank you for the research and the links. I did try MyFinePix Studio, and was able to confirm that it is just a viewer, rather than a developer. Not intuitively, the "MyFinePix Studio RAW FILE CONVERTER" happens to be the same thing as the Silkypix software, if I'm not mistaken. While it comes from Fujifilm and has the X100 on there, surprisingly, it doesn't convert the same way as from in-camera. I suppose this is something I'll have to just take up with Fujifilm. |
