EOS Rebel T3i 18-55mm lens won't take a picture - happened with two lenses I'd take it to a dealer. :) The AF motor is in the lens. IF you try to turn the focus ring manually while the lens is in AF mode, the gears may be damaged. Same can happen if focus ring is turned under transport, aswell. |

How can a 24-70mm and a 10-22mm both be “wide angle” lenses? If I see through the viewfinder with a 50mm-F1.8 on my APS-C camera, things appear to have no magnification (1:1). So on crop, everything below 50mm would be wide I guess |

how to backup large amounts of photos at home? if you have a raid which can rebuild a lost disk, it does not really matter how long disks last, does it? just go for the cheapest, it's backup not primary storage. |

What is this “rainbow” effect? So it probably is because of that UV filter then... Had a similar problem at night where the moon all of a sudden had a twin next to it. I tried another lens, which did not have a filter, and there was no twin then. So I guess I'll just not use that UV thing anymore. Causes more trouble than it helps. (I'm ultra careful with gear anyway). And angle also makes sense of course. |
