comment Wise to switch from Sony to Canon considering I have a decent amount of lenses?
What is it you're finding limiting about your current gear? Swapping the A580 for a 6D definitely isn't a straight swap as you're moving from upper-entry level APS-C camera to full-frame.

comment Is a 3rd party (Tamron) lens safe to use on a Canon EOS 600D?
Please ask new questions as a separate question, not as a comment on an answer. But the answer is still "no" - at this point, you seem to be trying to invent potential problems; there is no problem using third-party lenses.

Yes, of course it will affect the sensor, that's what you want it to do or you're not going to get an image. Will it damage the sensor? No - do you seriously think a company would sell something that blows up your camera? What would be the point of that?

comment Should I replace the Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens with a 40mm f/2.8 or 50mm f/1.4?
A recommendation to buy a camera 3x the price isn't that helpful.

Yes, you're wrong. There's a great big air gap between the lens and the sensor.

It's still no different from using any other lens. Why do you think a lens could possibly affect the sensor?

comment How to achieve this effect though post-processing
Could you expand this answer to explain how you would achieve this effect using contrast / curves adjustments? What are you going to do with the curves?

comment How to adjust the lens in dark?
If the bat is just hanging in the tree, then it's pretty much like a landscape scene in that you have a (reasonable) amount of time to focus.

Also worth reading, if not an exact duplicate: How do I capture the milky way?

You'll need a wider angle lens than 55mm to get those kind of images. And the other really important point is getting somewhere really dark to take the photos as well :-)

Please vote up and/or accept answers which you find useful (but don't vote this answer up because I posted this - vote it up if you actually find it useful).

comment Optimum ISO? How can I tell?
@Sharni Stepping back a bit, you've now asked three questions on this site and they've all been closed for one reason or another. Could I point you to our help center which attempts to give guidance as to the sort of questions you should be asking? If anything isn't clear, please come over into chat and ask.

@krish "Having only basic functions" isn't a reason for upgrading. Which functions do you think are available on higher levels bodies do you think will let you get better photos?

At the moment, this question is going to get closed pretty rapidly as it's not going to be useful for other people. Could you try and revise your question to explain what you're finding limiting about your current body? If you can't answer that, then (as chills42 has pointed out) upgrading your body is the wrong option.
