When to use exposure lock with spot metering and when to use exposure compensation? So even after choosing spot metering if the subject is dark, I should increase the stops on exp compensation right ? But in spot metering since I am zooming in to fill the frame with face shouldnt it adjust shutter speed automatically to get proper brightness ? Reason am asking is I end up taking 4~5 extra trial and error shots while using exposure compensation, I thought by using metering mode I could get the shot in one click. |

Why won't my D3100 won't take flash pictures even when focused? I think you are shooting in Fully Automatic mode, in that mode if the camera is unable to lock on to an object it wont release the shutter sometimes. Can you change the mode to Manual and click with flash and tell the result ? |

Should an artist/photographer admit to a photo being edited? No you dont need to admit for editing image until you have won all the competitions, later you can go to Orpah and confess. |

Is f/4 sufficient for a telephoto lens for outdoor daytime travel photography? Heard some good review about tamron f/2.8 lens which is cheaper than Nikon. You can check out if you are interested. |

How do I change settings on the fly without missing my shots? As I am also still learning, I will shoot in Av mode(semi auto) when I will be snapping pics while walking around, I will use Manual mode only when shooting landscape where I can afford to loose few seconds/minutes. Also can I know why not 6D and a 7D ? |

Does the battery grip for the Canon 1000D fit on the Canon EOS T3/1100D? Was just checking out this video and BG-E5 has connectors near the battery terminals which are not there in 1100D, so looks like if I want to use a Battery Grip I would have to use an aftermarket one for which I need to connect a wire from the outside and it will look odd and get in the way. Till canon releases one I am better off carrying extra battery in my camera bag ! |

Does the battery grip for the Canon 1000D fit on the Canon EOS T3/1100D? I am not planning to upgrade now , so is there no other alternative ? I dont mind memory card getting jailed, as I plan on buying a bigger storage capacity card soon, if thats the case will BG-E5 fit on 1100D ? |

High-end compact camera with swivel screen and running on AA batteries @gerrit But if we use battery grip for a DSLR, we can use AA batteries right ? There are few models with swivel screens, what if we use battery grip to make use of AA batteries, but it wont be small though. |

What sites/companies are available for buying and selling used lenses? Since you have not mentioned your region, its difficult to answer this question, not all online stores are available globally. |
