Mysteriously lost photos on Nikon D5100 after shooting and plugging into iMac Card was bought from amazon.com. It's a San Disk Extreme HD Video 30MB/s. And the images were not visible from the camera or any computer without doing a recovery. |

Sharing metatdata editing with Aperture and PhotoMechanic I really like both Aperture and Photo Mechanic for what they do well, and I just purchased Photo Mechanic 5.0, so yes, that's the requirement. |

Raw versus JPG Images with a DSLR I'd agree with the last comment. If one can afford the disk space (which is very cheap now), being able to recover (improve) precious family photos is worth the cost of a bit more time to process and disk space. The Nikon D5100 gives the option to get both the JPG and RAW. |
