Why is aspheric glass expensive? @mattdm Thanks for the link. Now I see that spherical lenses are dead simple to manufacture, and why aspherical lenses are far more complicated. |

Why is aspheric glass expensive? @dpollit The provided thread does not give any details on why exactly it is more expensive to make and measure an aspherical lens. I would be interested to know, as well. |

Why is my camera showing a lot of stuck red and white pixels? @gsharp try shooting a 2 minute long exposure with the lens cap on and watch the resulting christmas tree. It is really common to have cold/hot pixels on a camera sensor. It shouldn't be so apparent on sub-second exposures, but it is not something to worry about. Clone it away, tell the firmware to ignore it, whatever. It's just a single pixel. |

What workflow should I use for managing model releases? Be careful. Privacy legislation varies wildly from one country to another. For example, in Spain it is OK to shoot at people at a protest/public event without permission, but it is in general forbidden in any other circumstance. Publishing candid shots is definitely illegal without a model release. |

How do I approach people for a natural look in street photography? Be aware that in certain countries (e.g. Spain) the dissemination on internet of images of a person without their consent may be a serious breach of data protection laws. |

Which camera is more suitable for portrait taking between Canon 7D and 60d ? @ysap I did not write that the 60D is better for portraits than the 7D. It's just cheaper, and does not lack any portrait-oriented feature compared to the 7D. Just that. |

Which camera is more suitable for portrait taking between Canon 7D and 60d ? I consider the 7D a wonderful action/sports/wildlife camera because you pay a premium price to get the features needed for these uses (fast and precise AF, great burst rate, sealing). No that you can't get good portraits with it. It's just that if all you want is to get good quality portraits, you can use less expensive cameras, like the 60D, and use the money saved in good portrait lenses. |

Which camera is more suitable for portrait taking between Canon 7D and 60d ? The price difference comes from features that are not important for portrait shooting. I think it is a good idea to spend the price difference in better lenses. |

What exactly determines depth of field? @Kristof it can be summarized in a single concept: the hiperfocal distance. But it's far more intuitive to use the factors given by Matt |

Which camera is more suitable for portrait taking between Canon 7D and 60d ? 700 USD difference according to a well-known seller from Hong Kong. 1686 USD the 7D, 2414 USD the 5D Mk II. Not that much if we look at the quality difference and the price you already pay for a 7D. But hey, it's not my money. |
