A type of lens that uses mirrors for some of its optical elements.

Mirror lenses use mirrors as part of their optical pathway. This allows the manufacture of a large focal length lens with a short barrel. However, this results in a large barrel diameter. Furthermore, these lenses have a small maximum aperture and usually lack autofocus.
