I am trying to make better quality backups of my color slides using TIFF files instead of JPEG files. I have several thousand color slides of trains and locomotives.

I need to know the settings to use in Vuescan to scan color slides to TIFF files instead of JPEG.

This seems really specific to this particular program. Does it come with a manual? – mattdm Mar 5 '11 at 3:18
@mattdm - I agree with you and I suspect that he now has a window of time to get the answer as a result. :) – John Cavan Mar 5 '11 at 3:56

Unless things have changed and, judging from the website of the vendor, I don't think they have, then the answer to your question is to check the 'TIFF' option on the output tab in the Vuescan dialog. See their docs for details.
