I have a decent array of camera equipment I'd like to rent out and am wondering the best place to advertise or any advice as to how to go about doing so. I already have insurance etc., so my main concern is figuring out how to find people (ideally entities that have insurance) interested in renting out.

We cannot answer without more details: Renting across national boundaries extremely troublesome which is why rental companies do not do it, so we need to know where you are located. We also need to know what kind of equipment you have to point you to the right market. – Itai Oct 20 '12 at 14:01

I suppose this depends on how much kit you have, and whether you want to make a business of this or just a bit of beer money on the side. It also depends on what level of kit you have, is it top end pro stuff? or general consumer level?

If you are serious, you should advertise in photography magazines - these are probably your main audience.
