I was surprised to learn from http://photo.stackexchange.com/a/3434/4795 that Sony built sensors are used by a few major camera manufacutrers (eg. Nikon, Pentax...)

Does anyone have a list or a link to a list of all the current non-Sony branded (eg. Nikon, Pentax) cameras that are actually using Sony sensors?

UPDATE: As suggested by the first response perhaps this should be a CW of all Sensor/Camera pairings.

The much acclaimed Nikon A800 does & D700 issaid to. The D300 and Sony A700 used the same sensor BUT it took Sony until Rev 4 software to get as good a result from it as Nikon did. Sony reportedly have two smaller full frame sensors due for release later this year and there is a good chance that they will end up in Nikon cameras first. – Russell McMahon May 18 '12 at 14:21
A pattern has been suggested that seems to apply: Sony give Nikon first exposure with a new full frame sensor and do not use it in their own cameras for about 6 months. But, Sony use the APSC sensors first and Nikon don't use them for the 1st 6 months. Seems to work. I'm hoping the Sony A800 will be superb a few months from now :-) :-). I want a D700 superset - if Sony can make their 18-24 mp range new FF sensors behave as well as that in the new D800 we may yet see a D700s. One can dream. – Russell McMahon May 18 '12 at 14:23

Most brands do... Sony makes a lot of them, about 50% of the world supply, so it's almost easier to answer the question of who doesn't use them. – John Cavan May 18 '12 at 19:09

Great idea! I don't think i can change the question to CW but perhaps i can update the wording to be more generic. – mundeep Aug 30 '12 at 8:47
