Photography Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for professional, enthusiast and amateur photographers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

In photoshop cs5, when working on a photo, I recall being able to close file in mac (command + w) and be presented with the dialogue to "save", "cancel" or "don't save". I used to be able to press 'tab' twice and get to "don't save" and press the space bar. Now however, 'tab' does nothing on this dialogue.

In illustrator, I still have this functionality.

Has adobe changed this? How can I get this same functionality as before?

Hi Bob. Please see our FAQ - photo.stackexchange.com/faq Questions here should be about photography, not strictly about photoshop. – dpollitt Apr 19 '12 at 1:52
Thanks for that. One would assume its ok to ask about this in a photography exchange considering photoshop is the primary tool for most photography post production. – user9465 Apr 19 '12 at 6:27
Your group decision to close this topic is quite anti social and non productive for a new user at the forum. As a seasoned user of the stack exchange network its quite familiar to be overly critical on questions asked by people with a low score. Well done at being pointless - happy shooting. – user9465 Apr 19 '12 at 6:29

Bob - on the contrary, the decision was taken to keep the forum relevant. Photoshop is not used exclusively by photographers, and the functionality you are describing is not related to photo editing at all. This site only works because it is specifically about photography; allowing non-relevant topics to be discussed only dilutes its usefulness. Please don't take this personally, and try to understand the spirit of the StackExchange family of sites. – Nick Miners Apr 19 '12 at 6:42

@Bob - Think of it this way - What does your question have to do with capturing a photograph, using a camera, or similar themes? This is a photography QA site, not a Photoshop(ie software) based forum. Most of us like to QA photography questions... so it has been decided that this forum does not consider Photoshop specific questions that could relate to any use case of Photoshop and not really photography(See meta.photo.stackexchange.com/questions/658/…) Sure, we use Photoshop, but in the context of photography, which this question is not. – dpollitt Apr 19 '12 at 13:25
