Why do I see the message “OpenId endpoint not found” when I try to log in?

If you're receiving this message, please follow these steps:

  1. Try logging into your OpenID provider directly. Usually if you cannot log in on the site itself, then you will be unable to log into Stack Exchange. (If you're using a Google account, log into Google. If you're using a Verisign account, log into Verisign.)
  2. When you have successfully managed to log into your provider, please try logging in on Stack Exchange again.
  3. If you are still unable to log into Stack Exchange after logging into your OpenID provider successfully, please contact us directly.

If you cannot log into your OpenID provider, or if you know your provider has ceased supporting an OpenID, please create a new account and then contact us to request an account merge.
